Customer Bans
Block a customer from purchasing in your store, with an optional reason, and lift the ban when you are ready.
When you need to block a specific Second Life resident from buying anything in your store, the Customer Bans page is where you create the ban, review who is currently blocked and why, and lift the ban when appropriate.
This page covers the Bans tile on the Settings page.
Where to find Customer Bans
Open the Settings page at stores.allomancy.com/settings and click the Bans tile to open the Banned Users page at stores.allomancy.com/settings/bans.
The banned users list
The list shows every customer currently banned from your store. Each row has the following columns:
- Username: the resident's Second Life profile picture and username.
- Reason: the reason you entered when you created the ban, truncated for the table.
- Ban Date: the date and time the ban was created, formatted like
Apr 27, 2026 3:42 pm. - Actions: an unban button described in Lifting a ban below.
When a reason is longer than what fits in the column, click next to the truncated text to open a Ban Reason for {username} dialog showing the full reason in a quoted block.
Banning a customer
To ban a customer, click Ban User at the top of the page, enter the resident's Second Life Username, optionally add a Reason, and click Ban User
The reason you enter appears on the Bans page. Customers do not see the reason. When a banned customer tries to make a purchase, Allomancy refunds their L$ and sends them a local-chat message stating they are banned from the store.
Lifting a ban
In the Actions column, click to unban the customer.
While a customer is banned, they cannot purchase from your store, buy products as gifts, or request redeliveries. The ban does not delete their past purchases, sales history, or customer profile.
Permissions
Customer Bans is visible only to the store owner. Managers do not see it from a managed store. See Store Managers for the full list of owner-only areas.
