Store Settings

Update your store name, logo, and default purchase behavior that applies across the store.

The Store Settings page is where you manage the details that apply to your whole store, like its name and logo, plus default behavior that applies across every product and vendor.

This page covers the Store tile on the Settings page. Other Settings tools have their own pages: Discord Webhooks, Imports & Exports, Customer Bans, and System Redelivery.

Where to find Store Settings

Open the Settings page at stores.allomancy.com/settings and click the Store tile to open the Store Settings page at stores.allomancy.com/settings/store.

If your store has a logo set, a preview appears in the header to the right of the title. While you are typing a new logo UUID, the preview updates with a dashed pulsing outline so you can see the new texture before you save.

Updating the store profile

The top of the page has two fields:

  • Store Name: the visible name of your store.
  • Logo UUID: a Second Life texture UUID for your store logo. The form accepts the standard SL UUID format with or without braces. Leave the field blank to clear the logo.

Use Setup marketplace when you are ready to connect Second Life Marketplace sales to Allomancy. The dialog walks you through the Marketplace Automatic Notifications (ANS) setup, gives you Allomancy's ANS URL for the Marketplace form, and stores the Marketplace Notification Salt on your store. After Marketplace sales start arriving, use Marketplace Listings to associate those listings with Allomancy products.

To save your changes, click Save

When set, your store logo is reused elsewhere in Allomancy. For example, gift cards handed out by a Gift Card Delivery Unit inherit the registered store logo when no Custom texture is set on the unit.

Setting default purchase behavior

The More settings section below the profile form has three switches. Each one takes effect as you flip it:

  • Refund duplicate purchases: when on, a customer who buys a product they already own is refunded automatically. Only products marked Copy are refunded.
  • Automatically use credits: when on, customer store credit is used automatically on every purchase. The customer pays the full price at the vendor inworld, and Allomancy refunds the L$ equivalent of the credit balance that was used. If the credit balance covers the whole price, the entire L$ payment is refunded; if it covers only part, the refund matches the partial credit used. Off by default.
  • Allow gifts using store credit: when on, customers may use their store credit or discounts when sending a gift purchase to another resident.

Two examples of Automatically use credits turned on. Both customers buy a L$30 product.

Full coverage. A customer with L$50 of store credit pays L$30 at the vendor and is refunded L$30 in full; their credit balance drops to L$20.

Partial coverage. A customer with L$10 of store credit pays L$30 at the vendor and is refunded L$10; their credit balance drops to L$0.

Configuring inworld sales notifications

The Inworld sales notify dropdown controls whether you receive sales notifications in your Second Life local chat:

OptionWhat it sends
NoneNo inworld chat notifications.
Non freeNotifications only for paid sales (skips L$0 sales like comps and gifts that cost nothing).
AllNotifications for every sale.

Your selection takes effect right away.

Sending a landmark with each purchase

The Landmark picker selects a dispenser item that is delivered to customers along with their purchase. This is typically used for a landmark that points back to your store, but the field accepts any dispenser item.

To prevent spamming customers, the same item is delivered at most once every 24 hours per customer.

More store-wide tools

Three buttons next to the toggles open dedicated dialogs:

  • opens a dialog that configures bonus credit awarded on purchases.
  • opens a discount dialog that applies to every product at once.
  • opens a dialog with additional notification settings.

Permissions

Settings, including Store Settings, is visible only to the store owner. Managers do not see it from a managed store. See Store Managers for the full list of owner-only areas.
