Marketplace Listings
Connect your Second Life Marketplace listings to the matching Allomancy products.
Marketplace Listings is where you review which Second Life Marketplace listing maps to which Allomancy product. Once a listing is associated with a product, Marketplace activity for that listing can be reviewed alongside the rest of your sales data.
Where to find Marketplace Listings
Open the Products page at stores.allomancy.com/products and click Marketplace Listings in the top-right toolbar. The page lives at stores.allomancy.com/products/marketplace-listings.
Reading the listings table
The page helps you associate Marketplace listings with Allomancy products. An Exclude demos toggle at the top hides listings whose name contains "demo".
The table has three columns:
- MP Item: the Marketplace listing's item name. Rows that are not yet linked to an Allomancy product appear in muted text so you can spot them quickly.
- Product: a product picker. When the listing is already linked, the picker shows the current product. When it is not, the picker is empty.
- Date Added: when Allomancy first saw the listing.
The page lists the Marketplace listings Allomancy already knows about for your store. When a Marketplace sale comes in for a listing that is not associated yet, Allomancy tries to match it to a product by name.
Automatic name matching can occasionally choose the wrong product if multiple products have the same or very similar names. Review this page after Marketplace sales to confirm each listing is associated with the correct Allomancy product.
Associating a Marketplace listing with a product
Find the listing
Use the search box to look up a Marketplace item by name, and turn on Exclude demos if you want to hide demo entries.
Open the Product picker
Click the Product cell on the row. The picker shows your Allomancy products.
Pick the matching product
Select the product that should be linked to this Marketplace listing. The change takes effect right away.
To replace an existing association, open the picker on the same row and choose a different product. The previous association is overwritten.
This is also how you correct an automatic name match that picked the wrong product.
How Marketplace activity shows up in Sales
Marketplace transactions appear on the Sales tabs alongside system sales. The Source filter at the top of the Sales pages lets you switch between System, Marketplace, and Both. On the Locations chart, Marketplace transactions are folded into a single * Marketplace * row so you can compare your inworld locations to your Marketplace activity at a glance.
Permissions
The Marketplace Listings page is reached from the Products page, so opening it needs the same access as Products. Editing an association requires the Manage Products permission. Store owners always have it. To grant it to a staff member, see Store Managers.
