Applications
Open your blogger program to applicants, configure the form bloggers see, and accept or reject applications from the web.
Applications are the first step in onboarding a new blogger. From the merchant side you control whether your store is accepting applicants, what they see on the application form, and how you respond to each application. From the blogger side, applicants find your store on bloggers.allomancy.com, fill out the form, and track their submitted applications until you review them.
Opening applications
The two switches at the top of the Blog Dashboard control whether new bloggers can find and apply to your store:
- Applications are open / closed: when open, bloggers can submit an application to your store. The label appears in green when applications are open and in red when they are closed.
- Listed for bloggers: when enabled, your store is listed on bloggers.allomancy.com so bloggers can discover it. This switch is disabled while applications are closed.
While applications are open, the Blog Dashboard also surfaces a copyable Applications URL in the form https://bloggers.allomancy.com/stores/view/{storeId}. Share this link directly so a specific blogger lands on your application form without browsing the public list.
Configuring the application form
Open the Blog Dashboard, click the Settings tile, and switch to the Application tab to configure what applicants see.
The tab has three sections:
- About (Appears on application page): a free-form field. The text shows up under the About heading on your store's application page on bloggers.allomancy.com.
- Application Cooldown (Days): the waiting period in days after rejection before a blogger can reapply.
- Application questions: a list of up to five free-form questions that bloggers must answer when applying. Use Add Question to add a new question, or beside a question to remove it.
Click Save All Settings at the bottom of the page to save the Application tab and the Settings tab together.
How a blogger applies
A blogger logs into bloggers.allomancy.com and opens Find Stores to browse the Available stores list. Stores you have set as Listed for bloggers appear here. The blogger can search the list and click a store card to open its application page.
The application page shows your logo, your About text, your custom questions, and an Info/details about you field where the blogger writes about themselves.
Submitting the application returns the blogger to the Available stores list.
A blogger can track submitted applications on Your sent applications. The Status icon shows whether each application is pending, accepted, or rejected: for pending, for accepted, and for rejected. While an application is still pending, lets the blogger withdraw it before review.
Reviewing applications
In the Blog Dashboard, click the Applications tile to open the Applications page. The table lists submitted applications.
Use the Show reviewed toggle at the top to switch between pending applications (default) and applications you have already accepted or rejected.
The table has these columns:
- Username: the applicant's Second Life profile picture and username.
- Social: social-link icons from the applicant's blogger profile.
- Info: the applicant's free-form Info text, truncated.
- Date: when the application was submitted.
- Answers: the count of answered questions.
- Status: for pending applications, for accepted, and for rejected.
- Action: opens the application for review.
Accepting or rejecting an application
Click on any row to open the application detail dialog.
Review the applicant
The dialog shows the applicant's username and the date they applied at the top, followed by three sections:
- Social Links: the applicant's social-network links.
- Information: the applicant's free-form Info text.
- Application Answers: the answers to your custom questions, listed under each question.
Add an optional review comment
Use Review Comment (Optional) to record a comment for your decision.
Accept or reject
Click Accept to add the applicant to your bloggers list, or Reject to refuse the application.
After you accept or reject an application, the comment field, Accept, and Reject are disabled. The previously entered comment appears but you cannot edit it.
What the blogger sees after a decision
On the blogger's "Your sent applications" table:
- An accepted application shows the accepted icon. Accepted bloggers can use the store-specific blogger workflows available from the blogger-facing site.
- A rejected application shows the rejected icon.
- Only pending applications can be withdrawn by the blogger.
Application review comments are kept private to your team.
Permissions
The Applications page lives under the Blog Dashboard, which is gated by the Manage Bloggers permission. To grant or restrict that permission, see Store Managers. For the broader blogger program context, see Blogger Management.
