Posts
How bloggers submit and update posts, how merchants review them, and how the post status and review comment appear on each side.
Posts are the deliverable of the blogger program. Bloggers submit a post about one or more products from your store, and you review and approve or reject each one from the Posts tile on the Blog Dashboard.
Submitting a post
A blogger creates a post on bloggers.allomancy.com from a store's post-creation page. The page shows the products available for posting and lets the blogger pick one or more.
Above the product grid, the blogger can switch between two views with the Unposted / Posted toggle. Selected products show a red Selected badge, and a Selected: {n} counter appears above the grid.
For non-VIP stores, unposted product cards display a "Deadline: MMM dd, yyyy" description under the product name. For VIP stores, no deadline appears on the unposted product cards.
When at least one product is selected, the blogger clicks Post to open the post submission dialog.
In the dialog, the blogger adds one to three URLs (use Add to add another URL field, Remove to drop the last), optionally writes free-form details in Info, and clicks Post to submit.
Updating a pending post
A blogger can update a post they have already sent, but only while it is still pending review. From the blogger's Posts page for a store, the Action column shows an Update button that is disabled once you have reviewed the post.
Clicking Update opens the same submission dialog used for new posts. The URL fields and Info field are pre-filled with the existing values.
What the blogger sees in their Posts list
The blogger's Posts page for a store shows posts they have submitted to that store. The table has these columns:
- Status: for pending posts, for accepted posts, and for rejected posts.
- Products: the count of products in the post, with a hover tooltip listing the product names.
- Links: a row of social-link icons, one per URL on the post. Hovering an icon shows the full URL.
- Comment: a preview of the merchant's review comment, truncated. Click the cell to open a comment dialog described below.
- Date: when the post was submitted.
- Action: the Update button, disabled when the post has been reviewed.
Clicking the Comment cell opens a dialog titled Post comment with two stacked sections:
- Your post info: the post description, with URLs turned into clickable links.
- Store comment: the merchant's review comment, with URLs turned into clickable links.
Reviewing pending posts
In the Blog Dashboard, click the Posts tile to open the Posts page at stores.allomancy.com/blog/posts.
The list shows pending, accepted, and rejected posts together; the Status column distinguishes them.
The table has these columns:
- Blogger: the blogger's username.
- Description: the blogger's free-form Info text, truncated.
- Status: for pending posts, for accepted posts, and for rejected posts.
- Created Date: when the post was submitted.
- URLs: social-link icons for each post URL.
- Products: thumbnail images for each product in the post, with a hover tooltip showing the product name.
- Action: opens the post for review.
Reviewing a post
Click on any row to open the post review dialog.
The dialog is organized into sections:
- Description: the blogger's full Info text in a scrollable box.
- Post URLs: shown only when the post has at least one URL, rendered as social-link icons in a dashed box.
- Products: shown only when the post has at least one product, listed by name.
- Review Comment (optional): a field for your comment.
Click Reject to reject the post, or Accept to approve it.
Reopening a reviewed post shows the previous comment in the comment field. Clicking Accept or Reject again updates the post's decision; the blogger receives an inworld notecard with the new decision, using the same notecard format as application-decision notifications.
What the blogger sees after a decision
On the blogger's Posts table, an accepted post shows the accepted icon and a rejected post shows the rejected icon. The Update button is disabled for that post.
If you entered a review comment, the blogger sees it in the Store comment: section of the Post comment dialog when they click that post's Comment cell on their Posts page.
Permissions
The Posts page lives under the Blog Dashboard, which is gated by the Manage Bloggers permission. To grant or restrict that permission, see Store Managers. For the broader blogger program context, see Blogger Management.
