Managing Bloggers

Review your active bloggers, edit their VIP and Suspended status, end vacations, reset deadlines, and remove bloggers from your program.

Once a blogger is accepted into your program, you manage them from the Bloggers tile on the Blog Dashboard. This page covers the bloggers list, the per-blogger detail page, and the actions you can take on each blogger.

Reviewing your bloggers

Open the Blog Dashboard and click the Bloggers tile to open the Bloggers page at stores.allomancy.com/blog/bloggers.

The table has these columns:

  • Blogger: the blogger's Second Life username. The text turns red when the blogger is Suspended. If the blogger is currently on vacation, an inline palm-tree icon appears next to the username.
  • Vip: a status icon that uses when the blogger is marked VIP and when they are not.
  • Status: Active for unsuspended bloggers, or Suspended for suspended bloggers.
  • Social: social-link icons from the blogger's profile.
  • Products: the count of products this blogger has retrieved.
  • Approved Posts: the count of posts you have approved.
  • Pending Posts: the count of posts awaiting review.
  • Joined: when the blogger joined your program.
  • Action: opens the blogger's detail page.

Adding a blogger manually

Click Add New Blogger above the bloggers list, enter the blogger's Second Life Username, optionally tick VIP, and click Add Blogger

Opening a blogger's detail page

Click in the Action column of any row to open that blogger's detail page. The page header shows the blogger's Second Life profile picture and username.

The detail page has two tabs: Profile and Products.

Profile tab

The Profile tab is organized into four sections:

  • Description: the blogger's free-form description, taken from their own blogger profile. If they have not written one, the section shows "No description provided.".
  • Badges: three pill badges that reflect blogger state, described below.
  • Statistics: a small grid showing the blogger's Products, Approved Posts, Pending Posts, and Joined values.
  • Social Links: the blogger's social-link icons.

Below the sections, three action buttons are available: End vacation when applicable, Reset Deadlines, and Remove Blogger, each covered in the sections that follow.

Products tab

The Products tab shows the products this blogger has retrieved from your store. The table includes the product, retrieval date, and two status columns: Posted uses when no post has been submitted yet, when a post has been submitted, and for the negative state; Accepted uses the same icon set for review status.

Toggling VIP and Suspended

The VIP and Suspended badges on the Profile tab are clickable. Each click toggles the corresponding flag immediately, with no save step.

  • VIP: click to mark the blogger as VIP, click again to clear the flag. The badge uses a filled style when VIP is on and a muted outline when off.
  • Suspended: click to suspend the blogger, click again to lift the suspension. The badge is red when suspended and a muted outline when not.

The On Vacation badge appears next to VIP and Suspended while the blogger is currently on vacation. It is informational only and is not clickable.

VIP bloggers are exempt from product deadlines and monthly post requirements. They can retrieve and post products on their own schedule without risk of suspension for missing deadlines. Many stores apply VIP to friends or trusted bloggers.

Suspended bloggers cannot retrieve products or submit posts. Only the store owner or a manager with the Manage Bloggers permission can lift the suspension. Lifting a suspension resets all of the blogger's product deadlines to the Default Deadline (Days) value configured on Blog Settings.

Ending an active vacation

When the blogger is currently on vacation, End vacation appears under the badges and statistics.

To end the vacation, click End vacation.

Resetting deadlines

To reset pending post deadlines for the blogger, click Reset Deadlines, then click Reset Deadlines to confirm.

Removing a blogger

To remove the blogger from your program, click Remove Blogger, then click Remove Blogger to confirm.

Posts the blogger has already submitted remain visible on your Posts page after removal.

What the blogger sees

Bloggers manage their own description and social links from their profile on the blogger-facing site. The stores they belong to appear under their Your stores section on bloggers.allomancy.com.

Permissions

The Bloggers page lives under the Blog Dashboard, which is gated by the Manage Bloggers permission. To grant or restrict that permission, see Store Managers. For the broader blogger program context, see Blogger Management.
