Moderation

Manage blogger bans from the Blog Dashboard, and find pointers to related per-blogger actions.

The Blog Dashboard includes a Bans tile for managing blogger bans. Other moderation actions, such as marking a blogger as Suspended or using Remove Blogger, live on the per-blogger detail page in Managing Bloggers.

Where to find Blog Bans

In the Blog Dashboard, click the Bans tile to open the Bans page at stores.allomancy.com/blog/bans.

The Blog Bans page lets you add and manage bans by blogger username. This is separate from customer bans.

The table has these columns:

  • Blogger: the blogger's profile picture and Second Life username.
  • Reason: the reason you entered when you created the ban.
  • Banned Date: when the ban was created.
  • Action: opens the lift-ban confirmation described below.

Banning a blogger

To open the Ban Blogger dialog, click New Ban above the list. Enter the blogger's Second Life Username, optionally add a Reason, and click Ban to submit.

Lifting a ban

To lift the ban, click on its row.

Blog Bans vs Customer Bans

Blog Bans are managed under the Blog Dashboard and are separate from Customer Bans under Settings. See Customer Bans for the customer-side ban list.

Other moderation actions

For per-blogger actions that do not use this page, see Managing Bloggers:

  • The Suspended badge on a blogger's profile.
  • The Remove Blogger action on a blogger's detail page.

Permissions

The Bans page lives under the Blog Dashboard, which is gated by the Manage Bloggers permission. To grant or restrict that permission, see Store Managers. For the broader blogger program context, see Blogger Management.
